Authority Sites | List of Authority site

There has been a lot of talk about “Authority Sites” in regards to search engine marketing. OK, so what does this mean…...Authority sites generally have more content and more pages than other sites.

A measure of the quality (in the all-powerful opinion of the search engine company) of a given site, gauged by some combination of size, importance, relevance. A link from an authority site to your own is more valuable than just any old site.

The importance of a Web site or page, expressed as Google Pagerank (or other variables not published by other engines) depends on:

1) The largness of site(The Number of Pages)
2) How many pages link to that page within the site.
3) The Age of site. The total duration.
4) The number and importance of the pages/sites linking to that page.
