If you have made a website and you want people to find your site, then you can promote your website in different ways. But most important is to get your site high in the Google search engine results. This can be achieved by using search engine optimization (SEO). And an important part of this is called Keyword Density.
What is Keyword Density?
To optimize your website for a search engine to index your site properly, then consider the use of more relevant keyword for your website or articles. A search engine assumes that if a given word is often used in a text, this word is very important to the content and it also tells the search engine what the topic or article is about. And it is important for Google AdSense because these important keywords will trigger the ads on your website to be more relevant. This is called Keyword Density: the density of keywords.
How Keyword Density is calculated?
The density is calculated in percentages. Suppose you have a article of 500 words, with 5x the word "search". The Density of that article than is 1% (1 in 100 words).
You can calculate the keyword of a page or article by yourself, but there are useful websites and software to do the job for you. One such tool is the Keyword Density Checker on webconfs.com.
How to use Keyword Density on your website?
If you want to score well with a certain keyword you must provide a Keyword Density of 2 to 5%. Note: If that keyword is used too often it can backfire on you. So use variety in your text.
Optimize your website so that your keywords are divided in the text of a article. Make sure to put important keywords in the title of your article, in the first paragraph, middle and bottom of your page or article.
