Robots Meta Tag In Blogger

The main use of adding the Robots Meta Tag In Blogger to determine which pages in your website can be indexed and not to be indexed by web spiders.This tag becomes useful when you use frames to navigate. The basic format of robotic meta tag is given below :

<meta content="index | noindex | follow | nofollow" name="robots" >

I think all of you have doubts with the robots tag. Its very simple to understand and use;

Index - Web Spiders will index your webpages
Noindex- Web Spiders will not index your webpages

Follow - Spiders will follow the link present in your website
Nofollow - Spiders will not follow the link present in your website

Using instructions :

If you had added the rel-no follow tags for all the links that had appeared on your posts, then use this code :

<meta content="index follow" name="robots">

In this manner the webspiders will index your main page and schedule to other pages that can be searched a hyperlink.

The below command will block webspiders from indexing pages and following links from your website.

Submit Your SItemap To Bing Webmaster Tools

This post I explained the methods to how can Submit Sitemap To Bing Webmaster Tools. By adding sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools will increase your search visibility in Yahoo and Bing.Bing takes 1 week to index your site with your sitemap.The supported sitemap formats in Bing are : Sitemap [ a .xml page of your websit], RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3, Atom 1.0 and text files.Now follow these steps to submit your sitemap.

Login to Bing Webmaster Tools [ Use your live id to login, you don't have crate one.]

Then submit your site url to Bing

After verification of your website

Click on the web url appeard there [ http://www.domain.com]

Then click on Crawl

Then select Sitemaps [Atom, XML, RSS]

Then a window will appear and add your feed link or sitemap link with .xml as sitemap

Then click on submit

Finish !!!

Wait for a week and after that bing will index your site.

As far as I know this Intense Debate is the best commenting system for blogger blogs to get more comments .I used it for two months but now I removed it and using the default blogger commenting system .I will tell you the reason why I removed this commenting system at the end of this article.Intense Debate is a very good third party commenting system and doesn't takes much time to load.It has a very user friendly interface and you will see a very great improvement in your comment count after you moved to Intense Debate.

Disqus:

Disqus is one more good commenting system I used in the starting of my blogging.Disqus also helps in enhancing the number of comments but use it only if you need loyal commenter's.Some people feel Disqus irritating while commenting.

Should you use Third Party commenting system or not?

If you want more number of comments on your blog posts then I would strongly recommend you to use these third party commenting system but as far as SEO(Search Engine Optimization) is considered don't use third party commenting system.
The comments which are made using third party commenting system wont get indexed by google.More the  content gets indexed in google more will be the chances of getting ranked high.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for good number of comments on your post then I strongly recommend you to go for third party commenting system(Preferably Intense Debate) but if you want your blog to be search engine optimized then stick to the default commenting system.
So SEO says stick to default commenting system, now decide yourself.

1.To check whether a link is dofollow or nofollow left click and scroll over the link.

2.Then right click on the link and then click inspect element.

3.After you click inspect element a javascript console will pop up at the bottom of the page ,there you can find whether a link is dofollow or nofollow.

Mozilla Firefox Users:

1.To check whether a link is dofollow or nofollow left click and scroll over the link.

2.Then right click on the link and then click inspect element.
3.After you click inspect element you will see a pop up at the bottom of the page.
4.There you click html.
4.There you will get to know the link is dofollow or nofollow.

How to handle these dofollow and nofollow links:

• In blogger by default all the outgoing links are dofollow.Which means you are giving away the link juice to other blogs.It is better to give nofollow to the outgoing links in a blog.Only give dofollow to those outgoing links which are relevant to the content.

• It is equally important to give "dofollow "to outgoing links as well which are relevant.
• You need not give "nofollow" attribute to the internal pages of your blog.

There are some important measures that a Blogger should take into consideration before uploading a image.

1.Give proper name to your images:

I see most of them give image name as image1,image2 etc or 1,2,3 so on.But this is not the right way to optimize your images for better Search Engine Ranking.

You can see how the url of the image looks like.For example if you are explaining a post on Tiger and you will name it as image25.After uploading see the below link how your url looks like.

Now image25 and Tiger are no where similar and you dont get any result for this on Search Engines.

2.Avoid Giving Spaces for images and pictures:

For example if you are writing a post on Making Money Online and you want to show a image that resembles Making Money Online.

Now you will give name as Making Money Online.But it is recommended to avoid spaces because these spaces are generally replaced by %20 and doest has any value when it comes to SEO.So, it is better to replace space with '-' or '+'.
Instead of Making Money Online name it as Make+Money+Online or Make-Money-Online.
3.Add alt and title Tag for images:
As discussed in my previous articles you have to give one alt and one title tag for images.

After you upload a image to Blogger then go to HTML and Add A Alt and Title tag as follows.

When you upload an image then HTML code looks like the following

1. In Wordpress images are very SEO friendly,if you write good content and add some images then Alt and Title tags are automatically added to those images but you have to do this manually in Blogger.
2. Wordpress has got tons of cool plugins for SEO and better on page and off page optimization,So everything will be done by plugins, all you have to do is post some quality content.But if you see blogger then you have to do a lot of manual work which may fail sometimes and more over its time consuming tedious process.
3. In Wordpress we can give better meta tags to each and every post but in blogger it is very tricky to give meta tags to each and every posts.Though google claim that it doesnt search for meta tags in a post but I have noticed that meta tags show effect in search engine results of Yahoo,Bing etc.

Anyways it doesnt mean that blogger blogs doesnt stand over wordpress blogs.All you have to do is put some extra effort to be successful with blogger blogs.

2.Maintain quality in content:

• Don't write short and thin content.Always maintain quality in your articles ,write full length articles with at least 400 words.
• Don't dump you blog with a lot of posts which are of low quality.Its useless though you post 3-5 articles per day which do not have good quality.One good article per day will work best(If you have a community of blogger's then you can post 3-5 or more than that but quality in content is very important).

3.Add Alt and Title Tags for images:

• This is a very important thing when coming to SEO.Daily 20% of Search Engine results constitute of images.So this shows how important are images for bringing visitors from search engines.

After you upload a image to Blogger then go to HTML and Add A Alt and Title tag as follows.
